I am a small organic horticulture farmer. My purpose is to draw attention towards the fact that today’s organic practice is very depended on fossil fuel, contrary to public opinion.
I have done organic horticulture for more than 6 years and I believe there is a better way of organizing a farm and that way has to do with the prospect of creating a new type of practical methodology one that is focused on reducing the Co2 fingerprint of the farm. And in order to do that you need to combine the permaculture with organic agriculture and also need to invest in sustainable energy and be certified for that effort.
How did you impact natural resource use and greenhouse gas emissions?

My work is a proof of concept. From the point of view of economic sustainability probably is best to regard this work as a future need.
In today`s economy people do not love prototypes or experimental work, they want hard fact + proven concepts. Sorry to disappoint. The reality is that all the agriculture activities are heavy dependent on fossil fuel. From the energy spent for the farm and then to distribution and commercialization, everything is processed and reprocessed oil.
My entire concept is: modular, simple, energy efficient and lasts long. I aim to reevaluate agriculture methods by taking into account the farm`s CO2 emissions fingerprint as a factor that needs to be reduced.
