Context Analysis

Consumerism is a lifestyle to which the world has adopted. Oil products dominate our lives: from the vehicles we drive to plastic water bottles that provide intrinsic necessity. Motivated by the most practical option, it is hard to make a choice that coincides with the environment. Due to the problem’s shear scale and complexity of each component, people are diffusing the responsibility for others to manage. Avoiding obstacles will allow the individual to be aware of their consumeristic impact. This problem on a grand scale begins at the consumer thus having a population comprised of individuals that yield change. “Americans can always be trusted to do the right thing, once all other possibilities have been exhausted” said Winston Churchill regarding the Americans in WWII (“Americans”). Though we avoid the overwhelming reality that is climate change, we have few alternatives to exhaust before we take initiative. This solution provides a define path to which action can operate.
